DSLRs Pro, como a Canon EOS 5D IV e a Nikon D850 have a shutter life expectancy of 150,000 and 200,000 respectively. This may seem like a lot, but if you are a sports or wildlife photographer, for example, shooting with a fast exposure mode, you can easily achieve this number of shots.
If you're lucky enough to have a Nikon and an Apple computer, shutter counting couldn't be easier. Just open an unedited JPEG in the Finder and click "show inspector. Then select the Nikon tab and there it will display the number of actuations.
Some cameras don't incorporate shutter count information into the exif data, which can make it a little trickier to find. Olympus cameras have a secret menu and a particular set of steps to follow to reveal the shutter count. The Fujifilm X100V actually displays it in the menu.
If you want to keep track of your shutter count it may be worth investing in some shutter counting software such as Camera Shutter Count, from DIRE Studio, compatible with most cameras.
